Okay Girl, I know what you’re thinking. You’ve never worn a green lip, you’re never going to wear a green lip and I’m completely bonkers.
Hear me out.. With a majority of our favourite brands popping out a plethora of colours to add to their collections, I think I’ve found a way to make the shades we once shied away from to everyday essentials (at least for me, anyway..)

A statement made with Jeffree Stars ‘Dirty Money’
If you haven’t checked out Jeffree Stars range of cosmetics yet, it’s definitely worth researching. Despite the controversy behind the character, his range of cosmetics have some of the best colours and high pigmented pay off.
With such a statement yet neutral lip, it’s pretty easy to tie this in with an every day eye or even a hot glam look – as halloween is fast approaching, I would love to see this paired with anything purple!

On the darker side.. Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss Lipstick in ‘Plan 9’
How excited are we that KVD has finally landed in the UK?! The Studded Kiss Collection is definitely one to make a special visit to your local Debenhams for.
Serve sexy serpent realness with Plan 9, a smoked out eye, and hey presto you are ready to hit the tiles (or stay in with Netflix and a take-out, no judgements here!)
Alternatively, go straight ahead with a prime eye and make your lips the focus feature – throw a pigment of your choice on top and you’re good to go!

And keeping the best for last.. MAC’s Cremesheen Lipstick in ‘Can’t Be Tamed’
This has officially made it to one of my most favourite lipsticks, ever. How you ask? A colour so light that looks virtually impossible for any skin tone to wear?
Let me tell you, there isn’t a man or lady I have forced to wear this that hasn’t loved it. And I will tell you exactly how.
For an even nude? I use it to blend out Chestnut Liner – as much or as little as you like, depending on how dark you would like it to look.

Or if you’re brave enough, Undercurrant Eye Pencil and the same blended out technique will transform you into a mermaid majestic enough not even Ariel would rival

If you are staying away from certain lippies but would really like to have a go, the key is in experimenting. You’ll always be able to wear different colours, but if you’re not happy straight off the bullet, just remember it may take a certain something else to enhance different shades to suit your skin tone.

I would love to see how you created your perfect green lip cocktail, so comment away with your favourite products you use, or tag me (@oliviacora) in any looks you’ve posted on instagram!
